Gear in War of Genesis: Idle Loot is split across 14 visible equipment slots, and every item carries two separate axes: an item level (Lv.) and a grade (Tier).

On the Steam Community Market a listing reads like this: Hellfire Bow (Tier 4), typed as Lv.30 Weapon. In other words the name alone tells you the slot, the level band and the grade. The store page sums the whole system up in one line: “As you run stages, gear pours in. Weapons, armor, and even gems!”

Item level and grade are two different lines

This is the most commonly misread part of the system. Item level describes the base band an item belongs to (the interface and the market show Lv.10, Lv.30, Lv.55 and so on). Grade describes the rarity ladder (shown as Tier 3 through Tier 6).

How they relate in practice:

  • in the 2026-09-11 market sample, item levels ran from Lv.1 to Lv.55;
  • grades seen on the market were Tier 3, Tier 4 and Tier 5;
  • the official achievements push grades all the way to Tier 6 (“Obtain at least 1 Tier 6 equipment item”, “Craft at least 1 Tier 6 item through synthesis”).

So Tier 6 is reachable according to the achievements, but it did not appear in the market sample; what players actually see is mostly Tier 3 to Tier 5. Note also that Lv.55 is the ceiling of this sample, not a game ceiling.

Weapon and off-hand naming patterns

The sampled weapon names fall into a few clear routes, and understanding the routes is more useful than memorising names:

  • Swords: Iron Sword, Common Sword, Great Sword, Imperial Sword, Executioner’s Sword
  • Bows and crossbows: Hunter Bow, Silver Bow, White Bow, Crossbow
  • Staves: Ruby Staff, Topaz Staff, Rapid Staff, Staff of Divine Punishment
  • Firearms: Beretta, Handgun (paired with off-hand ammunition such as Large-Caliber Rounds or Advanced Ammo)
  • Magical off-hands: Rune Spellbook, Worn Spellbook, Intermediate Spellbook, Advanced Spellbook, Superior Spellbook
  • Shields and quivers: Iron Shield, Sturdy Shield, Ranger Shield, Soldier’s Shield, Leather Quiver, Advanced Quiver

These are naming patterns, not a complete list. No official weapon table has been published, and this wiki will not invent a “full weapon list” out of naming regularities.

Gems and the extended gear categories

Beyond ordinary equipment, several categories matter:

  • Jewels: the market shows Advanced Jewel of Destruction, High-Grade Jewel of Life, High-Grade Jewel of Strife, Advanced Jewel of Valor and Advanced Jewel of Luck. The store copy lists gems alongside weapons and armor, so they are part of the drop system.
  • Wings, pets, Magitech Gear and runes: the achievements include a Tier 4, 5 and 6 milestone for wings, pets, Magitech Gear and runes each.
  • Accessories: there are Tier 4, 5 and 6 accessory milestones.
  • Relic items: “Purchase Relic items 10 / 100 / 200 times” confirms a repeatable relic purchase mechanism, though the currency is not published.
  • Tradeable goods: Gold Bar and Diamond Pouch appear as market goods. How they are obtained is not published, so this wiki does not speculate.

Where gear comes from

This is the most practically useful list on the page, and all five sources have official backing:

  1. Stage drops — the store copy says gear pours in as you run stages, and the official HUD screenshot literally displays the stage number and kill counter.
  2. SynthesisCombine in the Equipment Forge turns same-grade items into the next grade.
  3. DismantlingDismantle in the same panel recycles what you do not need.
  4. Battlefield ranking rewards — “Open any Battlefield Ranking Reward 10 / 100 / 1,000 times” confirms multiplayer content produces reward chests.
  5. Buying on the Steam Community Market — the 393 tradeable listings at the time of writing are other players’ stock.

Rules for the second and third are covered in synthesis and dismantle; the fifth is covered in Steam Market trading.

What to keep and what to break down

Being honest here: the developer has not published drop weights, the option pool or dismantle outputs, so any “exact percentage” decision table is invented. What can be defended is a principle:

  • same-grade items that can be grouped → keep them for combining;
  • items that cannot be grouped and sit below your current grade → send them to Dismantle;
  • an empty slot always beats a duplicate, even a duplicate with a higher grade.

The full method for judging a single item is in best gear and stat priority.

Every slot, level and grade figure on this page was verified on 2026-09-11 against the Steam Community Market search API and the official Steam achievement list.
